Choose the northern location for a reason

Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok is at 1695 Phaholyothin Road in Chatuchak. It should not be confused with the Centara Grand at CentralWorld. The distinction changes the whole trip: this property is a northern Bangkok base associated with the Central Plaza shopping complex and convention facilities. It is especially relevant when shopping in Ladprao, work nearby or visits around Chatuchak are important parts of the itinerary.

The official website identifies BTS Ha Yaek Lat Phrao and MRT Phahon Yothin as the nearby rail options. Those connections broaden what can be reached without depending entirely on road traffic, but they do not turn this into a riverside or Siam-area hotel. A September 2026 Trip.com guest made that trade-off explicit, finding it useful for northern Bangkok and Chatuchak while warning that central and riverside trips could involve traffic. Match the address to your actual daily destinations.

Room choice and club value

The official factsheet lists 565 rooms and suites, ranging from 35 to 170 square metres. It says the majority face the green expanse of Chatuchak Park, which is different from promising that every room has that view. Its room table identifies a 35-square-metre Deluxe King as one starting point. Compare the specific category, outlook and bedding rather than letting a suite image define expectations for an entry room.

The factsheet also describes Club accommodation and an Executive Lounge with light meals, pre-dinner cocktails and all-day tea and coffee. These can make a premium category worthwhile for someone who expects to return between outings. Confirm the written entitlement, guest coverage and current food service before assigning a value to it. A restaurant-rich hotel can still sell room-only, breakfast or club packages with quite different inclusions.

Recent guests show why condition matters

Original September 2026 Trip.com accounts combine useful positives with maintenance caveats. A Deluxe King guest praised cleanliness, water pressure, internet and breakfast. A Premium Deluxe King guest, Angela, described a clean, quiet room and liked the garden pool and shopping connection, but also reported an electrical-lighting problem that eventually resulted in a room change. It is a specific account of an issue and response, not evidence of a fault throughout the building.

An August Premium Deluxe King guest, Jamie, found the bed comfortable while describing aged furniture and a glass-bathroom arrangement whose blind was operated from the bedroom side. A September Deluxe Suite family guest also raised concerns about room wear and shower condition while praising service. These reports make current room photographs and privacy preferences relevant. Travellers sharing with friends or older children should ask about the bathroom arrangement rather than assume all room types provide the same privacy.

Pool time, dining and a coherent itinerary

The factsheet lists a swimming pool with a shallow section for children, a fitness centre and SPA Cenvaree. This gives the hotel an on-property leisure role alongside its convention and shopping functions. A shallow section is useful information for parents, but it is not a substitute for supervision. Ask about present pool or spa availability if either is central to the booking, especially for a short stay with little flexibility.

The dining collection gives several distinct choices: Dynasty for Cantonese food, Don Giovanni for Italian, Hagi for Japanese, Suan Bua for Thai and Chatuchak Café for international dining. Blue Sky adds a rooftop restaurant-and-bar option. The range is a reason to consider eating at the hotel, while menus, reservations and the exact breakfast venue should be checked for the intended travel date.

The property is integrated with the shopping and convention complex, a convenience that should be evaluated together with the character of the accommodation. It suits travellers whose plans make northern Bangkok practical and who want restaurants, shopping and leisure facilities around one base. For a trip dominated by river excursions or repeated journeys across town, map those trips first. The best case for choosing this Centara is specific: the Ladprao address fits the itinerary, the room category meets the group’s needs, and the amenities will actually be used.
