Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel combines a Ratchadamri address with gardens and accommodation that extends from conventional rooms to private-pool suites. The distinction matters more than the shared Anantara name: a 42-square-metre Deluxe Room and a Garden Pool Suite offer very different stays. Recent guest accounts also need to be read against the hotel’s room and pool refurbishment.

The refreshed rooms are not all suites

The current official accommodation page labels Deluxe, Siam and Kasara Executive rooms as newly renovated. Each is listed at 42 square metres, but the features differ. The Siam description emphasises a high-floor city outlook; Kasara Executive adds lounge privileges. A change in category can therefore change the view or the package without changing the advertised room area.

The suite selection is more varied. The Siam Suite is listed at 72 square metres, while the Kasara Executive Suite is 84 square metres with a separate living and dining area, a master bathroom and a guest toilet. That separation has a practical use when two people keep different hours, or when the room doubles as somewhere to sit between outings.

A private pool is a separate accommodation decision

The Garden Pool Suite has a listed area of 91 square metres and a king bed, together with a terrace and private pool. The official description places it in a garden setting and includes Kasara lounge privileges. It is not evidence that the standard Deluxe Room has outdoor space or its own pool.

This part of the room range gives the hotel a different character from a building made up only of tower bedrooms. The garden accommodation is likely to appeal for time spent at the property itself. Its stronger indoor-outdoor relationship is the feature to compare, rather than assuming every extra square metre delivers the same experience.

Refurbishment makes the period of a review important

In a July 2026 Trip.com account, a Deluxe guest liked the location, breakfast and pool but reported a noisy first night; the hotel changed the accommodation. Another July guest commented on a lingering renovation smell in the lobby. The hotel’s response acknowledged the final stages of works. Those are period-specific observations, not proof that the same smell or disturbance remains today.

A September guest enjoyed an upgraded stay and the executive benefits, with food and drinks in the lounge, but found the breakfast less memorable. That is quite different from the July guest’s enthusiastic breakfast verdict. The useful takeaway is that the lounge and the main breakfast experience have their own roles, and that guest tastes differ even within broadly positive stays.

A central address with room to remain in the hotel

The property is at 155 Rajadamri Road in Pathum Wan. It should not be confused with Anantara Riverside on the other side of the city’s hotel map. One gives a central Ratchadamri setting; the other is specifically a riverside resort. A reference to an Anantara pool or lounge only helps if it belongs to the correct property.

Inside Anantara Siam, the broad accommodation choice is its defining feature. There is a fairly clear progression from a room with a high-floor outlook to a lounge category, a separated suite and a private-pool setting. The progression is not simply from old to new, because the current official descriptions already identify refreshed rooms in the regular range.

The Garden Pool Suite is a specific alternative for someone whose priority is outdoor space. Its private pool and terrace are different from the shared hotel pool and should not be inferred from a photograph attached to an ordinary Deluxe room.

The most convincing fit is a central Bangkok stay where the hotel’s gardens, pool and room layout also matter. A guest spending little time inside may value the Ratchadamri address most. Someone choosing a garden suite is paying attention to a much more private part of the property, and should judge it by that space rather than photographs of an unrelated room.
