S31 Sukhumvit Hotel stands at the Sukhumvit Soi 31 end of the city’s busy shopping corridor. Guests repeatedly point to Emsphere as the useful landmark, while the hotel’s own room collection runs from a 28-square-metre Superior to much larger split-level suites. That range is the important part of the review. A spacious suite photograph and a compact entry room are both part of S31, but they describe different stays.

The Emsphere end of Sukhumvit

The address is 545 Sukhumvit Road in Watthana. In a September 2026 Trip.com account, a Deluxe guest travelling on business found it easy to use nearby restaurants and shops around Emsphere. Another Superior guest also liked the mall across the road. Those reports give the location a practical focus: this is a hotel for spending time in the surrounding shopping area, not simply an address carrying the Sukhumvit name.

Asok and Phrom Phong appear in guest descriptions of getting around, but neither should be treated as a station connected directly to the hotel. Walking estimates differ between reviewers, so a fixed minute count would be misleading here. The strength supported by the accounts is access to the surrounding malls and services; it is not a promise of a covered station link or a traffic-free approach.

A Superior room is not the duplex in the brochure

S31’s official room list gives the Superior category as 28 square metres with a king bed, the Deluxe as 30 square metres with king or twin beds, and the Junior Suite as 40 square metres. These are substantial differences in layout before reaching the larger suites. For two people using the room mostly between shopping trips, a smaller category may do the job; it should still be judged by its own floor plan rather than a suite image.

The Duplex Suite is listed at 60 square metres. Its hardwood staircase leads to an open bedroom overlooking the living area. That creates separate levels instead of a conventional bedroom beside a lounge. It can be an appealing arrangement for a couple, but the stairs are part of using the room, not a decorative detail. Guests who need everything on one level have a clear reason to look elsewhere in S31’s room collection.

Comfort and upkeep do not produce one simple verdict

A September 2026 Deluxe guest enjoyed the bed and high ceiling but thought the bath, toilet and glass needed more careful cleaning. Another Deluxe guest from July described the room as spacious but showing its age. In contrast, the September business traveller praised a clean and comfortable room. These accounts support a mixed view of upkeep, without proving that every room has been renovated or that every room has the same faults.

The large bed described by one Deluxe guest is a guest observation about that allocated room. It is not a substitute for the official bed selection in the category you book. S31’s website expressly distinguishes king and twin options in the Deluxe listing. The same care applies to the Superior photograph shown here: it illustrates the named category, while the other published room image has not been assigned a category in this review.

Breakfast is not equally useful for every diet

A Superior guest who stayed in September liked the overall stay but found too few breakfast choices without pork. Another Deluxe guest enjoyed the egg station while judging the buffet more modestly. This is a useful dietary limitation, rather than a claim that the breakfast is universally poor. The combination of a convenient shopping location and varied room layouts is more consistently supported than a blanket promise about the food.

S31 is easiest to understand as a shopping-area hotel with unusually different accommodation formats. The smaller Superior and Deluxe rooms, the open duplex and the larger family suite are not interchangeable products. Its location gives you plenty to do outside; the remaining question is how much space, separation and room condition you need when you come back.
