VIE Hotel Bangkok puts a relatively small hotel stay beside the Ratchathewi transport area, rather than inside one of Bangkok’s shopping malls. Its rooms have large windows, and the fitness offering is more substantial than a token corner with a treadmill. Guest accounts also distinguish between enjoying the room layout and finding every bathroom fitting in perfect working order.

The Deluxe room has room to sit and work

The official Deluxe description gives a range of 39–41 square metres. It lists a daybed, large work table, floor-to-ceiling windows and a bathroom with separate bathtub and rain shower. The daybed and desk make the room useful for time spent indoors, not only for sleeping between shopping trips. The published size applies to this category, not every room or suite at VIE.

A Deluxe Suite is a different step: the hotel lists 76 square metres with separate lounge and bedroom. For two people with different sleeping or working hours, the division may matter more than a broader city outlook. These descriptions make the layout clear without promising a particular floor, view or exact furniture arrangement in every room.

Rail access still involves a street walk

The hotel’s official address is on Phaya Thai Road in Ratchathewi. A Trip.com guest in a Deluxe King Room liked the short walk from the station but mentioned the heat along the way. Another Deluxe King guest found the BTS particularly useful for reaching the main shopping area. Those accounts support the rail connection while keeping the difference between nearby and physically attached clear.

The short walk also connects the hotel to a neighbourhood beyond the large malls. One guest described nearby food and bars as lively during their visit. That observation is about the surrounding streets, not proof of noise in every room. VIE’s appeal includes access to ordinary street-level Bangkok as well as the better-known shopping destinations.

The gym is part of a wider fitness club

Accor identifies the fitness facility as WE Signature Club, and the fitness operator lists a VIE Hotel location. A guest on Trip.com described plenty of machines and staff, with local members also using the club. This is useful for someone who takes training seriously, but it suggests a shared exercise environment rather than a private hotel gym reserved only for overnight guests.

The official wellness offering includes the VIE Pool and spa. These provide separate ways to spend time at the property, while the city-view pool is different from the large workout space. A larger equipment selection does not establish the pool’s length, swimming-lane availability or how busy it will be during a particular session.

A good layout does not remove maintenance risk

An October 2026 Deluxe Twin guest on Trip.com liked the room arrangement and amenities but reported a faulty bathtub faucet that sprayed water. This is one bathroom experience; it does not mean that every bath has a problem. It is a more useful concern than describing the hotel simply as old, because it identifies the part of the stay that failed for that traveller.

A different Deluxe King guest enjoyed the bathtub, spacious room, breakfast and staff support. Taken together, the accounts support VIE’s combination of usable room space, fitness facilities and rail access, while leaving room for variations in maintenance. It is a sensible address for someone who wants to explore by train and return to a room where sitting, working and taking a bath all have a place.

Dining without another journey

The hotel’s current dining page lists La VIE Bistronomy, YTSB – Yellow Tail Sushi Bar, Signature Bangkok and Piano Bar. This gives guests alternatives within the property, from Japanese dining to a more formal restaurant occasion. They are separate venues with their own menus and booking arrangements; having them in the hotel is a convenience, while the room rate determines which meals, if any, are included.
