Dusit Thani Bangkok’s rooms face Lumpini Park, and the large windows make that green outlook part of the room rather than a view reserved for a rooftop bar. The current hotel reopened in September 2024 after a major transformation. It is the rebuilt Dusit Central Park property, so reviews of the original hotel need to be kept separate from accounts of today’s rooms.
The park is part of the layout
The official hotel description says all accommodation has a park view. Deluxe and Premier rooms are listed at 50 square metres, with Thai-inspired furnishings, bay-window seating and a marble bathroom with a freestanding bathtub. That window-side seating is an important part of the appeal: the outlook can be enjoyed from somewhere other than the bed.
A Corner room changes the framing of the city and park through two walls of windows. It is not automatically a larger room: the Premier Corner is also listed at 50 square metres. For someone comparing these categories, the difference lies primarily in the angle and extent of the glazing, rather than an obvious increase in floor space.
The rebuilt hotel has its own history
The original Dusit Thani opened in 1970. The hotel group records the new opening on 27 September 2024, with its flagship returning as the centrepiece of Dusit Central Park. That is more substantial than a new coat of paint or a room refurbishment. Descriptions of the original building’s corridors and bedrooms cannot simply be carried over.
The reopening announcement emphasised the large picture-frame windows and a park-facing ballroom, carrying the outlook into the public areas as well as the accommodation. It also described dining and wellness concepts arriving in stages. That staged launch is one reason the date of a guest’s visit matters when comparing accounts of available venues.

Club benefits belong to the booking category
The accommodation selection goes beyond the 50-square-metre rooms. The official Club Suite description gives 100 square metres, separate living and dining rooms and access to the lounge on level 39. The Duplex Suite is described as a two-storey layout, with a spiral staircase between the living areas and bedroom. Those are materially different ways of using the room, particularly for anyone who would rather avoid internal stairs.
The hotel’s Club descriptions attach refreshments and evening drinks to specific categories. These are not benefits that follow merely from staying at a five-star hotel. The distinction between a room’s physical size and its associated privileges is especially relevant here, because several room categories share a similar floor area.
Connected to more than the hotel
Dusit places the property at the Sala Daeng BTS and Silom MRT interchange, with a connection to the wider Dusit Central Park development. It also describes ground-floor access to Central Park through Dusit Gourmet. That brings shopping and additional dining into the immediate stay, while Lumpini remains the large green feature across the road.
A family guest on Tripadvisor in July 2026 praised the room decoration and Lumpini Park views during a birthday visit, but also advised having the hotel validate the parking ticket carefully. That is a small practical detail rather than a broad service complaint. It is still useful for drivers, because the arrival and parking experience is a different part of the stay from the view upstairs.
The hotel’s 2024 reopening represents a replacement building and a new accommodation offering, rather than simply fresh decoration in the original 1970 hotel. That matters when comparing a recent park-view room account with memories or photographs of the earlier Dusit Thani. The old property name has continuity, while the physical stay described by those older reviews does not.
Dusit Thani’s strongest proposition is unusually consistent across its room range: substantial rooms organised around the park. The category choice then adds a corner perspective, lounge benefits or a different internal layout. A traveller who values that green outlook has a more concrete reason to choose it than the hotel’s name alone.
