Praya Palazzo is a small riverside hotel in Bang Yi Khan, on the opposite side of the Chao Phraya from the Phra Arthit area. Its barge connection and the house-like scale are central to the stay. The rooms are not oversized city suites: the official Deluxe category measures 26 square metres. Guests describe enjoying the river and common spaces, while one recent Superior-room account mentions noise from the bed and floor at night.
The river connection is part of arriving
The official facilities information describes a complimentary Praya Palazzo barge service to Pier N13. Booking.com also explains that access is not straightforward by road and refers to the hotel boat. This is more than an attractive extra for a photograph. The boat connection affects the way you leave for the day and return, so the hotel suits someone who enjoys a riverside routine rather than expecting a taxi to operate like a normal street-front hotel drop-off.
The address is 757/1 Somdej Prapinklao Soi 2, Bang Yi Khan, Bang Phlat. It is not on Sukhumvit and should not be described as though it were. The official transfer description connects guests to the wider river-boat network via N13. It does not mean the hotel’s barge itself runs directly to every Bangkok attraction or that a rail station is outside the front door.
A small room collection inside a character property
Praya Palazzo’s official Deluxe Room page lists 26 square metres, a king bed and accommodation for two adults. The stated outlook is either the garden or the river. That choice matters because even a riverside property does not give every room an identical view. The photograph of a red-accented bedroom on this page illustrates the published accommodation without assigning a category that the source image does not confirm.
The bath and bedroom details should also be considered in the context of the hotel’s scale. Someone spending most of the stay in the common areas or exploring by boat may be happy with a compact room. Travellers who want a broad living room and kitchen would be comparing a different accommodation format. Praya Palazzo’s appeal is the riverside house setting, not a claim to the largest bedroom in Bangkok.

The common spaces do much of the work
The hotel lists a riverside pool, a garden area, library and gallery. These are useful parts of a stay in a smaller heritage-style property because time outside the room can still be spent within the hotel. The official pool description places it beside the river; the published exterior-and-pool photograph shows the relationship between the low-rise building and that outdoor space.
A Superior guest staying in October 2025 enjoyed the common rooms and landscaping and liked watching activity on the river. The same visitor thought dinner was good but a little expensive. That is a personal judgement from one stay, not a current price comparison with restaurants elsewhere. It does show how staying here can involve enjoying the house and river through the day, rather than seeing the hotel only as a bedroom.
Character does not guarantee silence
In an April 2026 Superior-room review, a couple liked the setting but noted noise from the bed and floor at night. Another Superior guest that month praised the welcome. These accounts do not prove that all rooms have a sound problem; they do keep the traditional atmosphere from being mistaken for guaranteed quiet. A building with character can be appealing while particular room fittings or floor sounds remain noticeable.
The best reason to choose Praya Palazzo is to make the river and a smaller, distinctive property part of the holiday. The barge connection, compact Deluxe rooms and shared garden-and-pool spaces form a coherent type of stay. It is less suited to expectations built around walking out onto Sukhumvit or having a large apartment indoors. The guest accounts support the charm of the setting while leaving room for practical limits in room size, sound and the cost of hotel dining.
